We Help

We Retain

girls and boys from primary level to colleges college level. They get uninterrupted and quality education hence reducing illiteracy level of the community.

We Donate

and assist girls to pass through an alternative rite of passage. Sensitization and trainings done in the community to advocate for the importance of quality education in the life of children.

Retention
To retain girls and boys from primary school with the aim of 100% transition to secondary schools and colleges/universities

Empowerment

  • Gender mainstreaming is a key focus in the project.
  • Advocacy is promoted to propagate child protection on all fronts, i.e., in churches, schools, and community meetings.
  • Addressing malpractices in the Maasai Community like Female Genital Mutilation, early marriage, and gender disparity.
  • Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for children and youth with disabilities through education and community support.
  • Creating awareness and building resilience against climate change by educating communities on environmental conservation, tree planting, and sustainable practices.

What We Do?

Problem Statement

MACEI project is intended to address the issue of drop out of school children which has been common in oloontulugum and Enkutoto areas. Cub early marriages within oloontulugum, Enkutoto community and ensure that girls are supported to remain in school. Needy and venerable boys and girls in Oloontulugum and Eankutoto village will join secondary schools of their choice with the help of MACEI. Sanitation activities will be done within the sub county schools to promote hygiene. Sensitization and trainings will be done in the community. This is to advocate the importance of quality education in the life of children. MACEI will carry feeding programs to address the issue of famine through relief, and school feeding program. This will retain children in school. Retrogressive cultural practices i.e. FGM, early marriage and gender disparity. The programme has been designed to address these malpractices in the community.

Project Beneficiaries

Project Self Reliance / Sustainability

The Project will be managed and implemented by MACEI founders with the help of the community members. Since the beneficiaries’ are part of the program, this will guarantee some sustainability. Education and Health Ministries will be involved in trainings, skills services and monitoring.
MACEI organization will oversee and do monitoring of the project activities together with the Village elders, community members, county Government, Donors and beneficiaries.
